Christopher Fautley
Chris Fautley is a professional freelance writer. He specialises in UK travel, history and heritage especially London, the South and the South East, and is also an article-writing tutor for a correspondence course.Chris has written more than one hundred articles for the Times Educational Supplement, regularly focusing on fun, inspirational and educational days out for school children. Many have been tours of his own making, such as literacy and maths walks in Dover, Greenwich, Docklands, Rochester and the Square Mile, as well as exploring Olympic London and John Betjeman’s London. In 2000, he was commissioned to write the words for The Times Britain from Space. He has also contributed to The Telegraph Magazine, The Times, Heritage and the in-flight magazine of United Airlines, amongst others. He shares Samuel Johnson’s observation: that when a man is tired of London, he is indeed tired of life.
