David Mountfield

David Mountfield has written a number of books on the history of travel and exploration, including The Coaching Age (1976). A full-time writer, he is also the author of several novels and over one hundred books for young people, mainly on historical subjects. Married with two grown-up daughters, he lives in one of the leafier suburbs of Greater London and spends most of his spare time gardening.
