Elizabeth Henson
Elizabeth Henson grew up on a thousand acre Cotswold farm where her father, Joe Henson, maintains a collection of rare breeds of farm animals alongside his commercial farm. This collection was opened to the public in 1970 as the Cotswold Farm Park. Elizabeth Henson attended Oxford University, where she obtained a BA Honours degree in zoology. At Edinburgh University she gained a MSc in domestic animal genetics before returning home to manage the Cotswold Farm Park. She is now secretary for four breed societies, including Longhorn cattle, Gloucester cattle and Cotswold sheep, and is a member of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Technical Committee.
