Frances Welsh
Frances Welsh has made extensive study tours in Egypt since 1961 and has excellent knowledge of sites and material relating to Tutenkhamun and the Amarna period. At University College London she read History of the Ancient Near East, including Egyptology, and gained a BA (Hons) in 1987. She has worked at the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology on objects from Meroe, Sudan, and in 2004 made a photographic record of village houses in the Fourth Cataract region. She is part-time tutor in Egyptology for Birkbeck College.
