Lloyd Laing

Lloyd Laing is currently Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at Nottingham University, having been at Liverpool University until 1990. He was born in Scotland, where he studied prehistoric archaeology and fine art at Edinburgh University, before becoming assistant inspector of ancient monuments for Scotland, a post he held from 1966 to 1969. Although he has researched many aspects of art and archaeology, his main concern has been the early Christian Celts. He is married to Jennifer Laing, with whom he has written several books.
