Michael Crofts

Michael Crofts has always been interested in railways and steam power. In the 1960s he helped to preserve industrial locomotives and a steam roller, in addition to building his first miniature railway on his family’s farm in Suffolk. After working as a guard for British railways, he commenced a professional career specialising in commercial and property law and valuation for large retail businesses. He now lives with his wife Frances in an old farmhouse on the edge of the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire. At the bottom of their garden is the engine shed for his most recent project: the Perrygrove Railway.
