Michael Webster

Michael Webster became a scooterist when living in a village in the Cleveland Hills; the nearest work was twelve miles away and public transport was inadequate. Yorkshire winters and apprentice rates of pay dictated the necessity for a scooter, which provided both economy and weather protection. In 1968 he acquired a few unusual scooters and his interest developed into a study of the scooter and the collection of information and machines of all makes. His collection grew to more than 160 scooters, representing more than eighty different makes, while his records now cover more than three hundred manufacturers worldwide.
