Rhoda M. Pearce
Rhoda M. Pearce was educated at Market Drayton Grammar School and the Priory School, Shrewsbury. She took an honours degree in history at the Univeristy College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and followed this with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education course at Manchester University. She has taught history at secondary level in Wellington, Helsby and Leominster, and for six years was a Senior Lecturer in History at Crewe College of Education. Formerly Deputy Head of Norton Hill School, Avon, she was Headmistress of Church Stretton School, Shropshire. Miss Pearce has edited an archive teaching unit on Thomas Telford and a documentary source book, Canals, for use in schools. She is now a Consultant in Statutory Education in the Diocese of Hereford.
