Robert Higham

Dr Robert Higham was Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Exeter, where he is now an Honorary Fellow. He was a founder and the first Secretary of the Castle Studies Group, and has been a Vice-President of the Royal Archaeological Institute. He is currently President of the Devon Archaeological Society. He has published excavations at Okehampton and Hen Domen and the classic work (with Philip Barker) Timber Castles (1992, 2004).
