Abraham

Abraham

Born to Canadian parents, Abraham has lived a peripatetic existence all over the UK, in Scotland, East Anglia, London and the West Country; he has also lived in Canada and Spain.  A keen student of history and literature and an anglophile, he is particularly interested in the Tudor and Jacobean periods and their literature.  He has also travelled widely, spending summers exploring Vietnam and sailing the coastline of the Normandy Landings, and is one of two people he knows of to have stood on Port Winston (to the consternation of the French coast-guard).  He took his BA in English and American Literature at the University of East Anglia, and his MA in Shakespeare and Early Modern Drama at the University of St Andrews.  In his free time he has been known to frequent the nicer kind of bar, to play guitar in unsuccessful bands and to write unpublished fiction, and has recently relocated to the dreaming spires of Oxford to be nearer the Osprey/Shire hub.

Predictably, considering the interests described above, his favourite books in the Shire list are those that deal with the history and ephemera of the Tudor period, in particular Tudor England, or historical trivia in general, like London Plaques.
