Mike Berry

Mike Berry has always has an association with road transport. First he ran his own lorry and trailer as a hay and straw haulier and dealer. He then went into skip hire with a fleet of lorries. Later he managed the transportation department of a large company recycling scrap metal. When he was made redundant he settled for a variety of part-time jobs, enabling him to spend time on his passion for acquiring petroleum collectables. He started collecting petrol cans in the early 1980s and now has Britain’s largest collection. He then went on to collect oil cans, petrol pumps and enamel signs, and now anything to do with petrol will find a place in his collection. He and his wife, Jackie, may be found in their caravan with a stall at all kinds of motoring events and autojumbles. When they are not with the caravan, Mike ‘enjoys the hunt’ and you will find him at collectors’ fairs, postcard fairs and auctions.
